Baldwin County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population was 182,265. The county seat is Bay Minette. The county is named in honor of Senator Abraham Baldwin, though he never lived in what is now Alabama.
The U.S. federal government designates Baldwin County as the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Metropolitan Statistical Area.
It is the largest county in Alabama by area and includes a portion of Mobile Bay.
