The US government agency in charge of federal buildings and supplies, the General Services Administration, is under fire after a report concluded the agency improperly paid for a more than $820,000 conference near Las Vegas that featured a mind reader, bicycle giveaways and lavish after-hour receptions in resort suites for federal workers.
The former GSA administrator has resigned, 2 top deputies were fired and 8 employees have been placed on administrative leave. Several Congressional committees are holding hearings following the revelations. - AP
