Pope Benedict XVI made on Wednesday, February 28th, his final public address as head of the Catholic Church.

He was flown from the Vatican by helicopter to the papal residence of Castel Gandolfo, in Lazio, near Rome, where he spoke for the final time to some 10,000 well-wishers. - NBC News
